Rangeland Motel, Yellowstone Avenue, Moorcroft, Wyoming

Have you ever dreamed of buying a neat old house and converting it into a bed and breakfast, or maybe just want the extra income of an Airbnb? Well, I have two words for you: Think Bigger.

The Rangeland Motel and RV park is for sale in Moorcroft, Wyoming. It's an old-fashioned motor court kind of place, with a glider on the front porch of the lobby. Google describes it as a "quaint, functional" motel with "straightforward rooms" and it has excellent reviews on Tripadvisor.

The lobby is the front room of the manager's home. It looks pretty much the way it would have when it was built in 1950, all business and no frills:

and make them feel more like vacation destinations:

The motel has 10 guest rooms that each include microwaves, refrigerators, and 22 inch flat screen TVs. The air-conditioning/heating units, plumbing and electricity have all been updated.

The manager's home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a basement laundry with 2 washers and 2 dryers.

You know that advice about staying in your own guest room to make sure it's a comfortable place to be? Let's take it:

The motel is in northeastern Wyoming at the western edge of the Black Hills -- a great location near Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons.

Next weekend is the Moorcroft Jubilee Ranch Rodeo and those visiting cowboys are going to need a place to park their horses.

The motel website is here and the listing is here.
