Moody Creek Drive, Redding, California

Are you an animal-loving pilot (or maybe a pilot-loving animal) who wants to escape life in the big city? If so, I've found the perfect house for you.

It's a 5,417 square feet home built in 1993. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a 5 car garage, and an RV port. Let's zoom in for a closer look. We can do that because this house has its own private airport, Tews Field.

This golf course home is designed with soaring ceilings, large windows, and a great open floor plan.

The home is about 3 miles from Shasta Lake (hence the speed boat in the hanger) and it's roughly another 97 miles to Mount Shasta. The area is rich in wildlife such as black bears, coyotes, golden eagles, prairie falcons, red-tail hawks, porcupines, swimming deer and mountain lions, Remington horses, and giraffes.

These pictures give you an idea of how well the open floor plan would work for entertaining:

This room combines the best of wildlife and entertaining for the pilot-loving animal:

In case you like your wildlife a little tamer, here's a potential re-design:

It celebrates the friendly skies and has a nice "on a golf course near Shasta Lake" feel.

As for the master bedroom...

...I'm going with another Chad James' design suggestion:

While we're at it, here's another bedroom followed by another Chad James' inspired potential update:

(My father-in-law has that exact figurine. The dad and child, not the fluffy dog.)

(Fluffy dog exchanged for more area-appropriate wildlife.)

The outdoor spaces are just as spacious and conducive to entertaining as the inside:

That area at the rear of the pool is a swim-up bar. More wildlife is represented by the rubber duck.
