Thanksgiving Road, Easton, Maryland

Over the river and through the woods, to Thanksgiving Road (in Easton, Maryland) we go.

I hesitate to propose changing this pretty, traditional living room:

But, if it were mine, I'd eagerly incorporate some of these fresh, beautiful choices:

The dining area is traditional with blue and white touches:

I think we should take the blue and white and play with it a little:

As for the somewhat masculine library...

...how about adding a little girly glam?  By the way, isn't it refreshing to see a heat register in an inspiration photo?  I was surprised it wasn't airbrushed out of existence.

This home also features a large utility room:

I imagine this space could incorporate clever washer & dryer cabinetry, like this:

This is the week when you also eye this space for its potential of storing extra sets of holiday dishes.

This house has 4 bedrooms, one of which has become this sunny exercise room:

{Better Homes and Gardens}

Now we've made it sunny with style.  Would horizontal stripes make me feel slimmer?  At least good design always increases my heart rate.

Last up is this guest room with its pretty palette:

Talk about pretty palette with pow.  Kelley took a good idea and ran with it.

Not only is this house on Thanksgiving Road, but it's in the Thanksgiving Farm neighborhood.  This means that you're obligated to host all holiday dinners, but that's a small price to pay for living in such a picturesque setting.

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a blog friend in person.  Karen from Garden, Home and Party is just as sweet and funny as you would expect from reading her blog.  It was fun to "talk shop" while we shopped.  The best part of blogging is definitely the friendships!

Happy Thanksgiving!
