Owen Street, Saginaw, Michigan

A lovely house awaits us today in Saginaw, Michigan, while very considerately providing gorgeous fall trees for this watercolor. What drew my attention to this house were the listing photos, including some from 1915.

Anyone feel like a good before, before, and after?

This house was last sold (and dare I say decorated) in 1993.

Let's bring back a level of prettiness that references 1915, but looks very comfy for today.

Here are the listing photos of the dining room, followed by our inspiration:

Again, a very timelessly pretty look for the dining room.

I love this old photo of the sunroom:

This newer rendition is nice, but needs a little more prettiness.

Here we go:

Blogger Carolyn Aiken can whip up a beautiful, period appropriate sunporch like nobody's business.

Finally, let's check out the master bedroom.

This present-day rendition almost doesn't look like the same room:

To bring back more charm, I found a dreamy nod to the 1915 photo by combining these two rooms:

This house has beautiful appeal for any decade.  What a treat for the new homeowners to have almost 100 year old photos of their new gem.
