34th Street, Boulder, Colorado

Hello! Today finds us in Boulder, Colorado and this very contemporary home with great mountain views.

The living room is a nice blank slate, but a little boring.

This room shown in Better Homes and Gardens would warm up the space nicely.

The kitchen is updated with a gray tile backsplash, birch cabinets, and those long, chrome handles that I keep talking about.

This is what I have in mind for the breakfast area behind the island:

This is the Jensen table and Willa chair from Crate and Barrel.  It appears that the chairs aren't available in gray any longer, which is good for us, because I wanted to add a little more color to the space anyway.

These would get your day off to a sunshiney start.

Not quite ready to face the day?  Let's head upstairs instead.

Hmm, gray closet doors.  We can work with that.

This pretty room by Sarah M. Dorsey Designs brings our sunshine upstairs.

Here's one of the bathrooms, with a clerestory window again.

It's nice, but it seems like it needs a little oomph.

Something like this, maybe?  I think starting the day in here might ease that transition to those yellow chairs downstairs.

Last, this has no relation to this house, but I found this image and just had to share it with you.

Fun, huh? Reminds me of soup spoon.  You'd have to keep your kids from trying to slide down from the sink to the tub, though.

Thanks for stopping by!
