Linger Longer Lake, Nashville, Indiana

Hello! Our week of April Fools finds us in Nashville today-- Nashville, Indiana that is.  We're going to re-imagine this 1918 cottage near Linger Longer Lake, with inspiration from architect Gil Schafer.

Cozy entry.

Let's give it a collected over time look.

Yes, clock-watchers, I have reversed this image, but you can see why, can't you?

Gil takes a very livable approach to his houses, so they feel warm and homey.

Here's a sunporch in need of some warmth and homey-ness.

Again, more of Gil Schafer's work (not sure which designer he worked with on this project) to show us the possibilities.

Isn't that a pretty blue ceiling? Dig those lantern sconces, too. This has a nice collected and cozy look to it as well.

Here is the living room. We'll continue this look in there.

For this room we'll be inspired by the Southern Living Showhouse, appropriately enough in Nashville- just the other Nashville.

This was designed by Phoebe Howard. She does seem to favor blue and green in her beautiful rooms, and in this case I'm glad she did, because it coordinates with our entry and sunporch so well.

Here's our kitchen. Now granted, this would take some work, but let's imagine what it could be.

Ah, that's nice. This was designed by Craig Kettles, and works much better with the rest of our look.

Let's check out one of the bedrooms.

Here's how we could furnish it.

Isn't that sweet and pretty? I don't know who designed it, sadly, but their fabric looks wonderful with our wallpaper.

Check it out, the property also includes a cabin. Pretty neat, huh?

Nashville has a lot of nice vacation homes, but this more humble little cottage appealed to me. Hope you liked it, too!
